Mastering SAP Conference – 7 to 8 June 2023

Mastering SAP Conference

The Soterion team will be returning to the in-person Mastering SAP Conference in Melbourne. Look for our booth located at the entrance to the main venue – in the same spot as last year. You won’t be able to miss us, and we’re planning some fun surprises for visitors.

The event brings together six interconnected communities within the SAP ecosystem, each with their own unique topics, schedules, and speakers. We’re thrilled to be a part of this event and to showcase our software solutions that help organisations manage risk more effectively. Don’t miss our presentations, which can be found in the SAP Security & Risk program in the conference agenda.

We look forward to networking and catching up with everyone in Melbourne!

About the Event
More about our presentations:

Session 1: Contact Energy’s Journey with Soterion

This topic will be hosted by Craig Brown, Application Support & Enhancement Manager at Contact Energy. This presentation will take place on Wednesday, 7 June at 13:50 – 14:35

Many organisations face the ongoing challenge of striking a balance between business demands and IT security objectives. Due to limited budgets and resources, competing priorities often result in security projects being neglected and not given the attention they require.

In this session, Contact Energy will discuss their GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) journey, shedding light on the challenges they encountered in the past and the valuable lessons they have learned. They will also share their insights on how to extract maximum value from their GRC investment moving forward by engaging with the relevant stakeholders to ensure there is adequate business buy-in and accountability to SAP access risk management activities.

Session 2: Maximising the Value of your GRC Investment – The Importance of Defining a GRC Roadmap

This topic will be hosted  by Dudley Cartwright, CEO of Soterion. This presentation will take place on Thursday, 8 June at 13:55 – 14:40

Many organisations have implemented an access control (GRC) solution, but unfortunately, they are not taking full advantage of its benefits. It is often used as a backend solution by IT, with minimal involvement from business users, resulting in suboptimal returns on investment and / or resulting in your organisation being over-exposed to fraud risk. This session will highlight the importance of creating a GRC roadmap that outlines the necessary tasks and activities for an organization to derive the maximum value from their GRC investment. We will discuss how to structure the roadmap document which can be shared with your management team to ensure that everyone is aware of what needs to be done, by whom, and within what timeframe.

  • Understand the components of effective GRC
  • Define the organisation’s GRC business objectives
  • List tasks and activities associated with each of the GRC business objectives
  • Define the structure of the GRC Roadmap document

We look forward to connecting with like-minded professionals and learning from experts in the field. If you have any questions, feel free to email us on [email protected]. See you in Melbourne!
