Sysmex choose Soterion for SAP as their access risk solution

Sysmex Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is a subsidiary of Sysmex Corporation of Japan. Set up as a Representative Office in 1994, it was subsequently established as Sysmex Singapore Pte Ltd in 1998 and eventually became known as Sysmex Asia Pacific Pte Ltd in October 2005. Located at the center of regional market operations, Singapore is Sysmex’s headquarters in the Asia Pacific region.

In Asia Pacific, Sysmex is a market leader in the delivery and implementation of clinical IVD and health IT products and services for clinical laboratories, hospitals and healthcare organisations. Its products and solutions continuously help improve patient clinical services and efficiency advances resulting in cost savings, which in turn translate to the delivery of better patient care.

Sysmex are required to adhere to JSOX, and were looking for an access risk tool that could provide them with visibility into their access risk exposure.

Coupled with this, Sysmex had a requirement to carry out periodic user access reviews. After exploring a number access risk tools including SAP GRC, Sysmex chose Soterion as they believed that the Soterion application was better suited to their environment.
